Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve - Birding in the Park 4-27-2025

The Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve is home to thousands of migratory waterfowl as well as numerous resident desert birds. There are nine ponds available for birding, surrounded by both paved and soft surfaces. The paved path is approximately 3/4 of a mile long and is accessible by wheelchair. The soft surfaces are mostly level and allow for easy walking.

Join Red Rock Audubon for our monthly birding event at the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve.  It is the home to local waterfowl as well as a stopping point for many migratory birds.

Scopes may be provided for shared use, based on availability.  A light pointer will be used as needed to show the approximate location of the birds. This event consists of walking around the various ponds, some of which are on paved pathways, others are on packed dirt.

As always, when birding in our arid climate please remember to bring enough water, protection from the sun, and snacks as needed for yourself. Don’t forget your binoculars if you have them.
