Description

Join us this summer at Floyd Lamb Park for our Junior Nature Ambassador Program! This program aims to engage youth in nature and broaden the exploration of Mojave birds, plants, reptiles, and insects over four days. Designed specifically as a youth and family-focused nature education series, the program encourages kids and their families to explore the Mojave Desert through hands-on learning and guided outdoor experiences.

The program is designed for children ages 6–12. Guardians are not required to participate, but they are welcome to join in the activities and exploration throughout the program.

Program capacity is limited to 12 participants plus their guardian(s) to provide an interactive and engaging experience for all. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a Red Rock Audubon Park Naturalist Certificate.

Kids will:

  • Learn about desert and wetland ecosystems through indoor and outdoor activities

  • Observe wildlife like lizards, frogs, birds, and butterflies

  • Craft masks, model bugs, and design desert plants

  • Practice Leave No Trace principles

  • Celebrate their achievement in a Junior Ambassador Graduation

🎓 Each child who completes the 4-day series will receive a Junior Nature Ambassador certificate!
